In deployment, the AS7716-32X excels as a TOR switch, facilitating connections ranging from 10/25/50 GbE to servers with uplinks of 40/50/100 GbE, or as a spine switch supporting 40/50/100 GbE spine interconnects. Its open network architecture, complemented by the Open Network Install Environment (ONIE), enables effortless installation of compatible Network Operating System (NOS) software, offering users a wide array of options, including open-source solutions like Open Network Linux and SONiC, as well as various commercial NOS offerings.
